‘Link Click’ Season 2 Review- A Picture Perfect Series
This animated show aired in 2024.
Season two of Link Click is a psychological thriller adult animated series from Chinese animation production company LAN Studio and Haoliners Animation League.
Following the stabbing of Lu Guang (Zeno Robinson), his friends Cheng Xiaoshi (Xanthe Huynh) and Qiao Ling (Suzie Yeung) work with local police chief Xiao Li (Christopher Sabat) to solve a series of murders by someone who has a similar ability to Lu and Cheng’s to enter photos and alter the timeline, but without their ethics. A shady lawyer, Qian Jin (Aaron Campbell), who was once Li’s partner, arrives and has a strange obsession with Lu and Cheng.
The animators should be very proud. They did an amazing job with the character designs, background illustrations, and action sequences, which were done with incredible talent. They upped the quality from the first season and improved upon it.
With the plot, get ready. This one is emotional. While the first season was mainly a “villain of the week,” this one focused on a single story arc that kept you on the edge of your seat. Lu, Cheng, and Qiao are all put through some turmoil as they face an enemy they do not fully understand. I found myself drawn into the tale and enjoyed it.
LAN Studios confirmed that a third season was in production, but they will be taking their time. Quite frankly, I think it will be worth the wait.
