DAY ONE-
Hey everyone, I’m so excited to announce that I will be at LA Comic Con this year! It is going to be so much fun! They have a great lineup of artists, writers, actors, actresses, and so much more.
It is going to be so much fun and I am looking forward to see every single thing that I possibly can. On day 1, we have “Spock Away Mission,” the Nerdfest, Le Geek So Chic Fashion Show, and artist Ryan Stegman (Venom, Spider-Man, and She–Hulk) is going to be there. It looks like one cool line-up for day one.
Even though I have been a fan of comic books my whole life, this is going to be my very first Comic Con. What better place to go to a comic book convention than in sunny Los Angeles, California? I think this will be a whole lot of fun.
DAY TWO-
Yo everyone, I’m so excited to be going to day two of LA Comic Con! The first day was a lot of fun and I had a blast. Don’t forget I’ll be posting it live on Instagram.
I met cosplayers, writers, artists, and fellow fans who loved the cool set-ups, collections, and unique presentations all at this single event.
I got to meet some amazing comic book creators, like the minds behind Stranger Comics, which produces the indie fantasy hit Niobe. I also got to have a great conversation with Steve Aoki, one of the creators of Neon Future. Both teams gave me autographed copies and let me tell you, they have some good stuff. One of the highlights was getting to meet David Pepose, the writer of Spencer and Locke. He gave me some updates about volume two and while I will not spoil anything, I can tell you it is going to be good.
That is just a taste.
I am looking forward to it this second day is going to be fun. The line-up looks like a good time. We have Robbie Amell (X-Files, The Flash), Walter Jones (Space Cases), Austin St. John (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Danny Trejo (Young Justice, Spy Kids) and so many more. Not to mention, ‘The History and Making of Saturday Morning Cartoons Panel’ and all of the cosplay-related events. All of those look especially nerdy.
Like I said yesterday, I have been a nerd and fan of comic books my whole life, this is going to be my very first Comic Con. What better place to go to a comic book convention than in sunny Los Angeles, California. I think this will be a whole lot of fun.
DAY THREE-
Hello everyone, I’m so excited after the second day of LA Comic Con! These first two days were a lot of fun and I had a good time. Don’t forget I’ll keep posting it pictures and stories on Instagram.
For day two, I mostly attended pretty awesome panels. The first was the Agents of SHIELD panel with Brett Dalton and Mallory Jansen, who played Agent Ward and Aida respectively. They had some good insight into the show and from switching from hero to villain. Unfortunately, I did not get to ask Dalton about the possibility of playing Batman.
The next panel was hosted by Valiant Comics. They gave some insight into what is coming and if you are a new fan, where to start. They also gave previews of the upcoming ‘Bloodshot’ movie starring Vin Diesel. The coolest thing was getting the free issue of Bloodshot Salvation. Don’t worry, a review is forthcoming.
My favorite panel was the one about branding yourself as a geek. As a pop culture and nerd culture commentator, it was great hearing from Science! comic book writer Jason Inman, nerd YouTuber Trisha Hershberger, The Holder’s Dominion author Genese Davis, and online fashion store Hero Within CEO Tony Kim. They each gave some interesting perspectives in breaking into the world of fandom that I found insightful.
One of the highlights was winning a medium-sized Batgirl poster with a golden dragon in the background by artist Daxiong. It is pretty epic. One final note, I was one of the winners of the FanGuru scavenger hunt. I won my super cute wife a Wonder Woman necklace. Very nice.
I am looking forward to it this third day is going to be cool. The line-up looks like it is going to be awesome. One of my favorite artists, Greg Capullo (Dark Nights Metal), is going to be there and it’s going to be awesome. There also several events including ‘Back to the Future: Secrets of the DeLorean Time Machine,’ ‘Screenwriting For Animation,’ and ‘Comics And Comics.’ All of those look especially geeky.
Like I said on the first day, I have been a nerd and fan of comic books my whole life, this is going to be my very first Comic Con. What better place to go to a comic book convention than in sunny Los Angeles, California? I think this will be a whole lot of fun.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments below. Tell me if there is a comic book, anime, movie, or novel you would like me to review.
