Jamie Grace: “Right Now” Music Review

Hope.

Jamie Grace is a talented singer, musician, writer, and producer. She released this new single “Right Now” which she wrote and performed.

“I wrote ‘Right Now’ for a friend who was stuck in a cycle with a guy who didn’t show that he cared about her or her time,” she wrote on social media.

You can definitely feel the personal nature of the song. It is a warning to young girls and women to not give everything to a man who does not have her best interests in mind. These kinds of songs are often overlooked, but this one should be heard everywhere. Grace shares it with an edge, making you feel connected to the warning, but also the hope that there is a happy ending around the corner.

Grace is an incredibly talented singer and her voice is the perfect relay for this indie single. I also thought the lyrics were touching and provided an excellent message without being overly preachy. She crafts her voice and lyrics with a passion you cannot miss.

The music is also mixed in a good way. There is nothing completely unique compared to her other works, but it definitely complemented the vibe of the song. If you know someone in a toxic relationship, I recommend you send this to them as an exhortation to their circumstance.
