‘Countdown To The Next Aviation Disaster’ Documentary Review
This film streamed in 2024.
Blaze Originals brings us Countdown To The Next Aviation Disaster, hosted by Stu Does America anchor Stu Burguiere. It breaks down the troubles plaguing the Federal Aviation Administration in the United States.
How many close calls can an airport have? Stu sets out to figure out what is going on at the FAA. Citing public records, we discover that near-misses and near-disasters have happened all over America. Phoenix, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, and so many other major cities were, in some cases, less than a hundred feet from a disaster. What is causing these issues, and what can be done to stop them?
Through traveling and interviews, Stu looks into the issues to figure out what is going on. What stood out and troubled me was when it was revealed that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg put forth an order to prioritize “diversity” over merit in hiring air traffic controllers. As such, the quality and quantity of the controllers are dropping. This is something that should concern everyone who is purchasing a plane ticket.
Stu definitely takes on a ride, no pun intended, and you will not want to miss a beat. It is eye-opening, shocking, and concerning the ineptitude that happens within our government, especially in an industry that relies on safety. Blaze TV has released for free on their YouTube channel, and I highly recommend it.

In full disclosure, I have met Stu Burguiere. He’s alright.
