The final four issues of the action comic book from actor Keanu Reeves, writer Matt Kindt, and artist Ron Garney are collected in BRZRKR Volume 3 from Boom Studios.
The Berserker is flung into space by the government agent Caldwell and returns worse for wear. Though he heals, he goes on a rampage and is only stopped thanks to the efforts of Diana, who has started to fall in love with him as she develops powers on her own. The two find themselves the target of a conspiracy, but they will not go down without a fight.
As I said previously, Ron Garney is non-stop in the delivery of excellent artwork. Not to mention, it was impressive seeing Berserker being almost completely burned, only to heal slowly. I also loved getting to see the abilities that Diana developed and the expansion of her role. Notably, the scenes of the Berserker going on rampages were so cool and visually stunning.
Not to repeat myself, but I was hooked on this series from the very beginning. I enjoyed the brutal action and the thrilling plot that was brought forward by Reeves and Kindt. While it does have an epic ending, the story does leave it open for a potential follow-up, and I would definitely pick it up if that happens.
