‘A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special 3’ Comic Book Review
This comic was released in 2024.
Manwha writer Usonan and artist Wookjakga bring us the third volume of the webcomic A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special. It is a fantasy series produced by D&C Media and translated into English by Yen Press.
From the description,
As the promotion battle winds down toward the finale, Desir’s ragtag group finds itself pitted against the powerful Blue Moon Party! Further raising the stakes, each of their opponents has a personal reasons to get revenge-the arrogant swordsman who lost face in a duel with Pram, the sleazy noble who was turned down by Romantica, and the most fearsome of all…Azest Kingscrown who never forgot the taste of her first ever defeat at the hands of Desir! With the most elite fighters of Alpha class out for their blood, can the Returner and his team eke out a victory?
The artwork in this volume is next level. The first two were pretty good, but watching the fight between Azest and Desir was epic. It is designed in a flawless manner and is worth every penny you will spend on this comic book.
After the promotion battle winds down, Desir and his team get involved with a plot to stop thieves from stealing a powerful magic rock called a Mana Stone. This was also a good part of the story and really gave his Starling Party a chance to shine. The portion after this I did find not as compelling, but it also gave the story a good push in an interesting direction.
