Originally, Star Wars Episode IX was supposed to be helmed by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow, but he was let go by Kathleen Kennedy and Disney after “creative differences.” Kennedy, in her infinite wisdom, brought back J.J. Abrams to direct The Rise of Skywalker.

Back in 2020, leaks on Reddit revealed the outline for the Trevorrow screenplay. Writer-producer-director Robert Meyer Burnett, who was working with Trevorrow, confirmed some leaks about the film, which had the working title of “Duel of the Fates.”

Now, this bullet-point breakdown is clearly from an early version of the script, so it was very rough, but that being said, Duel of the Fates could have been better than both The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Of course, now we will never know.

This is the summary that was posted to Reddit at the time:

CRAWL:

The iron grip of the FIRST ORDER has spread to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Only a few scattered planets remain unoccupied. Traitorous acts are punishable by death.

Determined to suffocate a growing unrest, Supreme Leader KYLO REN has silenced all communication between neighboring systems.

Led by GENERAL LEIA ORGANA, the Resistance has planned a secret mission to prevent their annihilation and forge a path to freedom…

Opens at the Kuat Shipyards (man on a mission-style)

BB-8 and Rose Tico (allegedly a key character in script) are infiltrating Kuat Moon where First Order build their ships (workers are oppressed). There is an orbital ring and moon below it. Finn and Poe are there. No R2/3PO. Rey arrives.

The plan: Send explosive into the power shaft that delivers raw ore into the ring.

Plan goes wrong. (RBM loves dialogue at this moment.) First Order is able to contain blast. Admiral Vaughn says Resistance tactics are “pitful.”

Rey disguised as a Tusken Raider is revealed to have created her own weapon (a double-blade lightsaber hybrid of her staff and Luke’s cracked saber).

They battle and Poe, Finn, Rose, Rey, and BB-8 STEAL A STAR DESTROYER (Eclipse-class) and escape.

The Knife 9 a ship containing the Knights of Ren arrives a Kuat. Ataska (?) Ren kills Admiral Vaughn for his failure.

CUT TO: CORUSCANT. No longer a vibrant city. “The new structures are built atop the art deco structure of the old republic.” Occupied by the First Order now (they have a citadel/palace there). Citizens are scavengers now. Hux is now CHANCELLOR HUX and is addressing Bisc Kova (traitor who helped Resist. steal Star Destroyer.) Kova is executed with a light blade guillotine.

Hux and Commander Selleck have a meeting with several alien war lords (ode to ANH imperial council scene). First Order has allies. They are aware of Rey being the last Jedi. Council wants to know WHERE IS KYLO REN? He is missing. Hux only knows he has gone searching for something of great power.

CUT TO: MUSTAFAR. Kylo Ren is alone, except for a Darth Maul-esque droid. He has stubble indicating search has been for a long time. Ren is being HAUNTED by Luke’s force ghost.

Luke: “This is where the dark path leads; an empty tomb.” Kylo (retort): “Where did your path lead?”

Luke is trying to convince him to go back to Leia. Kylo: “I’m going to be more powerful than any Jedi…even you.”

In Vader’s Temple, Kylo finds a Sith Holocron which reveals a hologram of Palpatine. Recording is for Vader. Palpatine has a contingency for Vader if Luke kills him. Vader is to take Luke to the Remnicore (?) System to see TOR VALUM, Master of Sith/Palpatine’s Teacher.

After scanning Kylo, the Holocron explodes and releases red lighting which burns Kylo, who screams.

CUT TO: RESISTANCE BASE on KOR-ALAF (?). Leia is introduced as she feels what’s happening to Ben. Chewbacca and Lt. Connix tell Leia that the Kuat team is back. They’re shocked to see a Star Destroyer (which is landed onto the planet). Funny moment w/ Rey using Mind Trick on First Order officers who were still on the ship.

Rey confides in Finn that she doesn’t feel like she has what it takes to be a Jedi and can’t live up to everyone’s expectations. Finn asks her if she still senses Kylo. Rey confesses she’s been having nightmares. Finn asks if it’s Kylo. Rey says she can’t explain their connection.

Finn: “You have to shut him out. He can’t change. It’s too late.” Rey: “It’s never to late to change. You taught me that Finn.”

Resistance realizes that the Star Destroyer stills has most of it’s weapons (tanks, TIEs, etc). Only missing piece is an army to use it.

Rey researching the Jedi texts from Anch-To discovers that under Coruscant Jedi Temple there is a communication system (called a FORCE BEACON) from the Old Republic that can send a signal to 50 planets. They plan on using it to get allies. First Order can’t stop it, since it predates Imperial tech. Rey: “Hope is all we have left.”

Force Ghost Luke appears as Rey trains. Luke is pushing Rey to get stronger in the Force, while he is pushing Kylo to let Ben out.

Kylo makes it back to Coruscant. Face is damaged. Mandalorian armor is smelted and is been applied to his face. Confronts Hux and belittles him, saying he doesn’t need titles.

Rey to Luke as they train: “Balance? The dark suffocates the light, light extinguishes the dark. Over and over and over again. How is that balance in the force?”

Luke: “I know that anger. My father had it too.’

Rey: “So says my master and his master before him. A thousand masters so eager to tell us how to live.”

Rest of exchange between Rey and Luke is basically Rey trying to back away from being a Jedi (she admits she is NO ONE) and Luke trying to convince her (he says the Force is speaking to her).

Back to Kylo. He and Hux continue to snipe at each other. Kylo says he’s leaving again, but not before telling Hux the power he discovered will make destroying planets insignificant. Kylo’s last order to Hux: “Find the Resistance, wipe them out, leave the girl to me.”

TEAM A (Rose, Finn, R2, 3PO): Going to Coruscant to light the beacon.

TEAM B (Rey, Poe, Chewbacca): Going to a planet to find someone to help Rey figure out what she needs to do. (side: Yes, his descrp. is that vague)

Kylo is going to a Sith Planet/Remnicore. EDIT: Before he leaves Coruscant, he takes Vader’s mask and says he understands Vader now. Kylo: “You allowed love to cloud your judgement” and he throws Vader’s mask off of a balcony and it shatters.

Leia stays at the base overseeing the Resistance.

Before Rey leaves, she and Leia have an exchange were Rey says she believes there’s still good in Kylo. Leia is skeptical, but Rey believes in her Jedi Training. Leia: “You’re not like my father or my brother. You’re new. Whatever happens, remember the force choose you Rey. You’re story isn’t written by anyone else.”

RMB starts summarizing now:

First Order tracks down stolen Star Destroyer to Kor-Alaf. Resistance escapes.

TEAM A successfully infiltrates the Jedi Temple and turn on the beacon. Cut to different places around the galaxy receiving the signal (Bossk cameo). It is then cut off by the First Order. TEAM A then flee into the underbelly of Coruscant.

TEAM B are being pursued by the Knife 9 (Knights of Ren ship) and eventually reach the planet Bonadan.

Kylo reaches Remincore and confronts Tor Valum (7000 yrs old, alien of unknown origin, spindly, intense sinewy muscle — very Lovecraftian). Kylo begins training with Valum. Ode to ESB Cave scene: Kylo fights Vader. Fight is brutal and Kylo loses.

Bonadan: Poe takes Rey to a Seer who can pull information out of memories. The Seer pulls a star chart out of Rey’s mind from her visions w/ Kylo. Knights of Ren show up and fight Rey in a lightsaber battle. She defeats them and TEAM B escapes.

Both Rey and Kylo eventually get to MORTIS.

Leia asks Lando if he will organize the smugglers and fight the First Order.

Rose is captured and tortured by the First Order, but is able to escape.

Finn/R2/3PO start a citizens uprising on Coruscant around the First Order’s Citadel/Palace.

Leia brings her forces to Coruscant to battle the FO. Massive space battle, ground battle (ROTJ-style you know the works lol). Chewie flies an X-Wing.

Rey and Kylo battle on Mortis, using force energy that can pull from each other. At some point is revealed Kylo killed Rey’s parents at the behest of Snoke. Towards the end, Luke/Obi Wan/Yoda appear as Force Ghosts to save Ben, but are unsuccessful. Ben is “extinguished.”

RMB seems to be at the end, so just for house keeping sake – Resistance won, First Order loses.

One final deet: Han Solo did appear in the script and does confront Kylo at some point.

An investigation by media outlets at the time confirmed the authenticity of the script, but the director of The Book of Henry took to social media to confirm that a few of the leaks were authentic, though he denies that he would have killed off R2-D2.

“Yes, this is from Duel of the Fates,” Trevorrow wrote. “But I’d never kill R2…he just took a bad hit. Happens to all of us.”

Not to rehash, but it has long been rumored that Colin Trevorrow parted ways with Lucasfilm after slamming Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi directly to Kathleen Kennedy, claiming that the script he wrote would not work with it, and there needed to be changes.

Specifically, he did not want Snoke or Luke Skywalker to be killed off. He offered to rewrite the script himself, but Kennedy allegedly fired him instead. J.J. Abrams would take over and credit some of Trevorrow’s story while developing The Rise of Skywalker.

Trevorrow has had varying success with his films, but in my opinion, his outline is much better than what we got from Disney Star Wars. Who knows where this would have gone if we had gotten this version of the Galaxy far, far away?

Rippaverse founder Eric July made a huge announcement to fans of his comic book universe, revealing that the indie publisher is partnering with Hachette Book Group for a distribution deal.

“Today we are announcing that Rippaverse Publishing has signed a worldwide sales and distribution agreement with Hachette Book Group, one of the largest book publishers in the world,” July said in a statement to fans.

He continued, “Effective July 6, 2026, HBG will handle all of our retail and wholesale sales and distribution across the U.S., Canada, and the rest of the world — bookstores, big-box retailers, libraries, and wholesalers, every territory, every channel. This is the biggest move in the history of the company.”

According to the deal, HBG will be releasing both the Rippaverse and Rippasend imprints to “big box” stores and will even be helping with localization for their international releases. HBG will also help place titles such as Isom, Bloodruth, and Alphacore into public libraries.

July also assured fans that the Rippaverse website, used for pre-order campaigns and the store, will not be going anywhere.

“Our direct-to-consumer operation, the way you order from us, the books you have been collecting from day one — none of that is changing,” July added. “The HBG deal is on top of what we already do, not in place of it. We are adding a brand-new channel.”

He concluded, “I have a lot more to say about how we got here, what this means going forward, and what comes next. I recorded a full video walking through the announcement, and we have published a complete press release as well. I would genuinely encourage you to watch and read both when you have the time.”

As a long-time fan of the Rippaverse, I find this announcement to be very exciting. I have been a fan of the indie comic publisher since their flagship comic, Isom. It is so thrilling to see this company grow and evolve into something bigger.

Steve Rogers is Captain America. We all recognize the iconic costume proudly displaying the red, white, and blue. Created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Timely Comics before being brought into Marvel Comics, where he would become an Avenger.

We all know his costume, but he has worn many outfits throughout the years.

After going on the run, Steve Rogers took on the identity of the Nomad and continued to fight with the Avengers.

In an alternate world, the Avengers Civil War led to a split in the United States, with Captain America leading “the blue.”

During the “Maximum Venom” arc, Spider-Man found himself battling a Captain America possessed by a symbiote.

7. Super Soldier:

Marvel and DC Comics briefly put aside their differences to create an ‘Amalgam’ universe that combined several of their iconic characters. Captain America merged with Superman to create the Super Soldier.

06. Heroes Reborn

On Counter-Earth, Captain America survived World War II but was continually put into stasis and awoken to be used as a mascot. The Avengers were able to save him.

Chuck Norris, legendary Martial Artist, Actor, and icon of American Strength, dies at 86.

Carlos Ray “Chuck” Norris, the indomitable martial artist, film star, Christian, and television legend whose name became synonymous with courage, discipline, and unbreakable resolve, passed away on March 19, 2026, at the age of 86 in Kauai, Hawaii. His loving family surrounded him at the time of his peaceful passing following a brief medical emergency. His family shared the news with heavy hearts, stating, “It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that his family surrounded him and was at peace.”

Born on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma, Norris rose from humble beginnings to become one of the most influential figures in martial arts and popular culture. His journey began in the United States Air Force, where he served as an Air Policeman in South Korea and first discovered Tang Soo Do—the foundation of his extraordinary martial arts career. Upon returning to the United States, he earned black belts in multiple disciplines, including karate, taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo. He dominated the competitive circuit, winning the All-American Karate Championship in 1967 and holding the Professional Middleweight Karate Champion title for six consecutive years (1968–1974).

Recognized as Black Belt magazine’s Fighter of the Year in 1969, Norris opened his own schools, training Hollywood stars such as Steve McQueen, and founded the United Fighting Arts Federation in 1990 along with his signature Chuck Norris System (originally Chun Kuk Do). Through these efforts, he not only advanced the art of self-defense but also instilled values of honor, perseverance, and community service in countless students.

A defining chapter in Norris’s life was his deep friendship and professional collaboration with Bruce Lee. The two met during martial arts tournaments in the late 1960s, forging a bond of mutual respect and training together. Their iconic on-screen showdown in the Roman Colosseum in Lee’s 1972 film The Way of the Dragon (also known as Return of the Dragon) marked Norris’s breakthrough into acting and remains one of cinema’s most memorable fight sequences. Norris often spoke with admiration of Lee’s innovation and spirit, and their friendship endured as a testament to the martial arts community’s shared pursuit of excellence.

In 1993, Norris took on the role that would define him for a new generation: Cordell Walker in the long-running CBS series Walker, Texas Ranger. This is where he came on my radar. I watched this show religiously in my formative years, and he became a staple in my pop culture icons. For eight seasons until 2001, he portrayed the no-nonsense Texas Ranger who delivered justice with honor, grit, and martial arts prowess. As executive producer, Norris helped shape a show that celebrated American values, family, and moral courage. The series became a syndication powerhouse and earned him an honorary Texas Ranger title in 2010.

It was during this time that he and his wife, Gena, would become Christians, incorporating faith in his show, a bold move even in the nineties.

Beyond the screen and dojo, Norris’s legend took on a life of its own in the digital age. Around 2005, the viral “Chuck Norris Facts” phenomenon swept the internet, with humorous, larger-than-life statements celebrating his superhuman toughness. Such as “Chuck Norris doesn’t do push-ups; he pushes the Earth down.’ What began as playful online humor evolved into books, games, and global memes that Norris himself embraced with characteristic good humor, further endearing him to fans.

Chuck Norris’s impact spanned three generations. Baby boomers and Generation X were inspired by his martial arts discipline and action films; Millennials grew up with Walker, Texas Ranger reruns and the Chuck Norris Facts that turned him into a pop-culture meme; and younger audiences discovered his work through streaming and online tributes.

His philanthropy, particularly through Kickstart Kids (founded in 1990), touched countless young lives by using martial arts to build character and self-esteem in at-risk youth. A devoted family man, veteran, and man of faith, Norris authored bestsellers, supported veterans’ causes, and lived his life as a role model of quiet strength.

Though Chuck Norris has left us, his legend will live on eternally. In dojos, on screens, and in the hearts of millions who drew inspiration from his unbreakable spirit, the man who never backed down from a challenge will continue to motivate generations to come. He proved that true power lies not just in physical prowess, but in integrity, resilience, and love for one’s fellow man. I have seen every single one of his films, TV appearances, and interviews.

Chuck Norris is survived by his wife, Gena, his children, and his extended family. Details of memorial services will be shared by the family in due course. The world has lost a true American icon, but his spirit: fierce, faithful, and forever resilient… will endure.

Iconic writer Frank Miller and premier artist David Mazzucchelli brought fans a glimpse into The Dark Knight’s earliest days in the 1986 DC Comics story arc “Batman: Year One.”

The four-part story has since become a favorite for its grim view of Gotham City and its citizens. It features Batman meeting James Gordon, Catwoman, and Harvey Dent for the first time. Since its inception, it has received several collected editions throughout the years, each with its own cover.

The Academy Awards have tapped Conan O’Brien as the host for the Oscars. He seems like a safe choice to go along with the featured entertainment industry elites patting themselves on the back for their politically correct endeavors in cinema. No doubt, they will be scraping the bottom of the barrel instead of looking for actual talent to be presenters.

I mean, the few ceremonies that Jimmy Kimmel hosted were so disastrous that the Oscars started doing a “no-host” style. How does Kimmel feel about that? Honestly, I do not care.

Despite Conan being a potentially decent pick, I decided to help the Oscars out. I have a list of celebrities who are from diverse backgrounds, talented enough to host the Oscars. Yet, it is doubtful they will be invited because of how woke Hollywood has become. These celebrities do not tow the party line, do not care about politics, and they do not care about offending those who virtue signal.

In no particular order, here are 10 Celebrities Who Should Host This Year’s Academy Awards (But Won’t Be Asked):

Siaka Massaquoi – If you really want to bring down the house, have every woke SJW’s head explode by welcoming the guy Joe Biden sent the FBI to hunt.

Chrissy Mayr – She is a talented comedienne, podcast host, and rabble rouser who does hilarious impersonations and delivers some witty observations.

Ricky Gervais – The British comedian brought down the house at the 2020 Golden Globes. The laughs never stopped as he targeted all of the elephants in the room.

Lou Perez – The author of That Joke Isn’t Funny delivers one-liners that will make you want to grab your side. Don’t drink anything before he says the punchline. It will come out of your nose.

Chris Pratt – From sitcom character to Marvel superhero to action star, Pratt can bring on the charm and humor in any situation. He could definitely liven up the whole ceremony.

Kristy Swanson – If there is one thing Hollywood cannot stand, it is when an actress dares to defy the talking points, and Swanson does that… brilliantly. That is why she would do a good job.

Tim Allen – The Academy Awards need “more power,” and who better than the guy who starred in several films, a few sitcoms, and brings barrels of laughs on the stand-up circuit?

Josh Denny – Someone who does not give a care? That would be Denny, who brings in the funny and knows how to take on the hecklers.

Patricia Heaton – From Everybody Loves Raymond to The Middle, she is a master comedic actress with a skill for hilarity.

Adam Carolla – The podcast king could bring in the laughs, much needed considering the Oscars’ last few years.

The show is planned for Sunday, March 15, 2026.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been one of my favorite film franchises, based on it adaptions of various Marvel heroes and villains. After Phase Three, Disney seemed to drop the ball with both movies and streaming shows.

This was apparent after the planned Avengers: The Kang Dynasty film was scrapped in favor of bringing Iron Man actor Robert Downey, Jr. back to portray Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday. Little is known about the plot, but it definitely has the internet’s attention.

So much so that a recent plot leak has inspired a lot of online discussion and analysis on what the leaker is claiming. Let us dive into this alleged Avengers: Doomsday leak. While I have concerns, I am cautiously optimistic about what the Russo Brothers might be developing here. Like, genuinely hopeful, but with several asterisks and a spoiler warning.

If you would like to read the leak in its entirety, click on the link here. I am not sure if they are a misdirection from Disney or a legitimate leak. Either way, the reported reshoots may have made some of this obsolete material. Nevertheless, reading about the X-Men destroying Spider-Man’s universe, Captain America being responsible for it, and Doom potentially winning gives me thoughts.

First off, the interconnected multiverse? It could get messy, especially with what I am hearing. As an aside, I am not happy to see Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man Earth get destroyed right out of the gate. Deadpool and Wolverine crossing over with the bomb plot, then jumping to Tony’s funeral, Steve’s quiet life with Peggy and their kid, Loki pulling TVA strings... it is all screaming “this is the multiverse event we’ve been waiting for.”

I also have to say that I think there could be many characters. Fantastic Four, Shang-Chi, Nightcrawler, Peggy, Loki, Black Panther, Professor X, Magneto, and Thor summoning Valhalla armies… it is a kitchen-sink plot.

I love a big crossover as much as the next fanboy, but if they don’t give everyone breathing room, it risks feeling like a checklist instead of a story. We have seen that happen before (looking at you, some Disney Plus Phase 4 stuff).

Then there is Steve Rogers getting blamed for triggering the Incursion and Doom’s family dying because he was living where he “didn’t belong.” Oof. Cap is one of my favorite Avengers. He is the ultimate symbol of hope and moral clarity. Turning him into the accidental catalyst for multiversal doom feels like piling on too much tragedy for no good reason. It is giving “punish the hero for daring to want happiness” energy, and I am not excited about making Captain America the fall guy.

The nihilism hits hard, too. Universes colliding, everyone dying except Doom, then a fake reset where memories are erased? That is some grim, almost Watchmen-level bleakness for a Marvel blockbuster. I get that Secret Wars needs high stakes, but if the tone leans too hard into “everything is meaningless until Doom wins,” it might leave folks walking out feeling more deflated than pumped. Marvel was originally about hope winning out. I hope they can return to that.

All that said... I am still cautiously optimistic.

The Fantastic Four getting involved early, X-Men hostility turning into uneasy alliance, those massive universe-separating cannons feel like the Russos are finally trying to course-correct after the post-Endgame scatter. No more disjointed Phases; this could weave everything back together in a way that actually matters. I am excited for that payoff, especially if it sets up Secret Wars as the epic closer.

I also like that Battleworld could be revealed at the end with Doom on the throne as Emperor after stealing Loki’s powers and resetting reality? And yeah, it positions the sequel perfectly: everyone resurrected but memory-wiped, living in this false paradise while the cracks start showing. That is sequel bait done right.

The Russos know how to handle massive ensembles, such as Infinity War and Endgame, and if anyone’s gonna pull off a multiverse reset that feels earned instead of cheap, it is them. In a dramatic culmination to one of Hollywood’s most intense corporate showdowns, Skydance-Paramount has secured a merger agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, valued at over $110 billion including debt, effectively winning the bidding war against streaming giant Netflix.

This deal marks a significant shift in the media landscape, consolidating two major players under the umbrella of David Ellison’s Paramount Skydance entity.

The saga began in late 2025 when WBD, facing mounting debt and strategic challenges post its 2022 merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery, initiated a review of alternatives, including a potential split or sale.

Initial interest came from multiple suitors, including Netflix, Comcast, and Paramount Skydance. By November 2025, the process escalated into a full auction after WBD rejected early offers.

Netflix emerged as an early frontrunner, striking a deal on December 4, 2025, to acquire WBD’s core studio and streaming assets, such as Warner Bros. Pictures, HBO, and Max, for $27.75 per share, while spinning off the linear networks like CNN and TBS.

This partial acquisition aligned with Netflix’s strategy to bolster its content library without taking on WBD’s cable baggage, but it left the door open for competing bids.

Paramount Skydance, formed from the recent merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, entered the fray aggressively. Led by David Ellison, son of Oracle founder Larry Ellison, the company pursued a hostile takeover approach starting in December 2025.

Initial offers around $19 per share were rebuffed, but Paramount persisted, incrementally raising its bids over months.

How did Skydance-Paramount clinch the deal? The turning point came in February 2026. On February 24, Paramount Skydance upped its all-cash offer to $31 per share for the entirety of WBD, a 63% increase from its September 2025 starting point and a premium over Netflix’s partial bid.

This comprehensive proposal, totaling $110.9 billion, included assuming WBD’s debt and paying a $2.8 billion termination fee to break the Netflix agreement.

WBD’s board quickly deemed this “superior” to Netflix’s offer, citing the higher valuation and the inclusion of all assets.

Under the terms of the Netflix deal, the streaming service had a window to match or exceed the new bid. However, on February 26, Netflix co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters announced they would not counter, stating the escalated price made the transaction “no longer financially attractive.”

Netflix’s withdrawal paved the way for Paramount Skydance to finalize the merger agreement the following day.

Strategic maneuvering played a key role in Paramount’s victory. By repeatedly rebuffing lower offers, WBD’s board, under CEO David Zaslav, fostered a competitive environment that drove up the price.

Paramount’s willingness to acquire the whole company, including cable networks, contrasts with Netflix’s selective approach, making it more appealing to WBD shareholders seeking a clean exit.

It is the clash of the warrior women! EXC fighter Gina Carano will be taking on former UFC champion Ronda Rousey in a match hosted by Netflix on May 16th, 2026.

“Two MMA legends are coming to Netflix,” the streaming service posted on social media. Their sports X account called the match “A LEGACY SHOWDOWN.”

Carano and Rousey are both incredibly talented fighters who have faced many impressive challengers. Facing each other will no doubt showcase their abilities and skills as fighters.

“Turn it up,” Carano said on X. “So blessed. Looking forward to making this walk AGAIN!”

Rousey added, “Been waiting so long to announce this: Me and (Gina Carano) are gonna throw down in the biggest super fight in women’s combat sport history! And we’re partnering with the fighter-first promotion (MVP) as well as the baddest streamer on the planet (Netflix)! This is for all MMA fans past, present and future. More to come… much more…”

The fight will be broadcast live on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

Carano’s last fight was in 2009. Iconic writer Mike Baron and gifted illustrator Steve Rude gave us one of the coolest science fiction comic book characters in Nexus. Horatio Hellpop was compelled by aliens known as the Merk to become an executioner, wielding super strength, flight, and energy beams to slay human villains.

Hellpop uses the planet Ylum as his base of operations, where he performs his reluctant heroics and takes in refugees with the help of his wife, Sundra, and his best friend, Dave.

Since its first appearance on the silver screen, Wayne Manor has served as more than just Bruce Wayne’s opulent family estate; it’s a visual shorthand for the Dark Knight’s dual identity on both page and cinema.

Angel Studios is partnering with The McDonough Company, founded by Captain America: The First Avenger actor Neal McDonough and his producer wife, Ruvé McDonough, for a “first look” three-film deal.

“As part of the deal, Angel will have first consideration on a slate of films currently in development at The McDonough Company, including a highly anticipated project that reunites Neal McDonough with long-time creative partners Jon Avnet and Mykelti Williamson—a proven team known for compelling, character-driven storytelling,” Angel Studios wrote in a statement.

The statement did not elaborate on the project, but cited their frequent collaborations with McDonough on several cinematic releases.

The Sonic the Hedgehog star celebrated the deal, adding that the McDonough Company is focused on movies that celebrate faith, family, and freedom.

“Partnering with a company that aligns with our passion for sharing positive, powerful stories is a dream come true for Ruvé and me, and Angel continues to be a perfect match,” McDonough said.

Angel Studios had previously worked with the McDonoughs for three well-received movies, including The Shift, Homestead, and, most recently, The Last Rodeo.

Angel Studios Head of Acquisitions, David Fischer, also lauded the agreement, saying, “Ruvé and Neal lead with integrity, purpose, and a deep commitment to stories that uplift and inspire.”

He added, “This agreement reflects shared values with our Angel Guild and a shared vision for the impact great films have on global audiences.”

McDonough is an award-winning actor who won the “Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film” at the 2012 Saturn Awards for his role in Justified, also starring Nick Searcy and Timothy Olyphant.

Angel Studios’ recent animated feature, David, broke the record for the highest weekend debut for an animated biblical film, finishing second at the Box Office on its opening week.

This is a riveting and tense dramatization of a real-world incident. It has excellent performances and an engaging story that you do not want to miss.

On Call

I also want to praise the cast. Everyone does a fantastic job. Our leads have excellent chemistry, working well together in their mentor and trainee relationships. This helps with the flow of the show, keeping your interest in the plots.

Thunderbolts

They may not be The New Avengers, nor is it perfect, but it was a solid movie that turned out to be shockingly good. Who knows? Maybe things have changed. Doubtful.

Elevation

The film does fall into some typical sci-fi thriller tropes, but they are used to craft a plot that pulls you into it. You feel the tension build as our protagonists traverse dangerous territory for the ones they love.

Den Of Thieves 2: Pantera

This is a solid heist film. The plot has way more than you are expecting in the plot.

Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc

This anime film is a bloody good time. While casual audiences may not care for it, fans of horror and of the show will definitely have a blast.

Havoc

Sure, the plot has some hang-ups, but it is a solid movie. It definitely turns up your adrenaline as you go from action sequence to action sequence.

I have been hooked on the show since it started and have not looked back. I have followed along with the protagonists as they work together, and I cannot wait to see how it is going to transition into the new season. With both a thrilling plot and stunning animation, not to mention that it avoids political correctness, it is a solid animated series.

The Accountant 2

It is a solid thriller. You will not be distracted or lose interest as you dive into the plot.

The Amateur

This film is a solid modern spy thriller. It has an excellent cast and an excellent plot to keep you invested in the story.

The Naked Gun

I will admit that it is not as clever as the films that preceded it, but it had some good moments. It was an excellent homage to the iconic cop comedy films.

Countdown

The story is also pretty good. There were a lot of twists and turns with a lot of both action and thrills to keep you interested. I did get a little bored with Volchek’s flashbacks. We only needed a handful, but we got a lot of information, each time feeling less and less relevant. Outside of that, it was a decent watch.
